Jan and Feb

We're kinda boring. I admit it. Even the fun stuff isn't really that exciting to tell other people about. So - highlights in January and February:

Miles turned 3 months Jan 20th:

And we took B to his first movie on the big screen. We saw Puss in Boots, which was pretty funny, and he had a blast! I'm not sure if he liked the movie or the popcorn and soda more...

Miles loves the jumper - he'll jump forever, it seems, until he just gets tuckered out!

Bryan got a buzz cut (Thanks Matt!) :)

And Miles at 4 months:

Time Off

I had a blast staying home with the boys. I was able to take 12 weeks off and only had to go to 9 Dr's appointments during that time! :)

I know we have a ton of October birthdays already, but it's great timing when you're working. You get Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas off, without the worry of having enough PTO!

We took a lot of naps:

Because the 4 AM feedings really got to us:

I didn't really make B feed him, at 4am or any other time. He likes to help, despite the look on his face!

The boys were Captain America and a Tiger for Halloween. They were lucky enough to trunk or treat and trick or treat. We were set on candy for a while...

We had a great Thanksgiving...and I forgot to take pictures. But then we blessed Miles. He was soooo cute in his little tux!

Then came Christmas and we had a blast!! Bryan was sooo excited, but was confused as to how it could be Christmas when there was no snow. He helped Grandma trim the tree

B made gingerbread houses with his cousins at the ex-Norman Christmas party

Daddy continued the tradition of reading Jolly Old Santa Claus, funny voices and everything!

And Santa brought B the one thing he asked him for : Harry Potter Legos. Which I then had to put together...

Nana and Papa made Christmas even better by coming for a visit. I was a bit busy with a new baby, a three yr old and a man-child, so I didn't get many pictures... :( But we'll see them again, maybe sooner than later. :)

That's Mr. Miles' bald head. He takes after his daddy!

All in all - a wonderful time off!!

Mr. Miles Arrives

Miles Quintin Hull

7lbs 6oz, 19 1/2 in

10/20/11

Miles came into the world screaming, but he's been such a good baby ever since!

Even Bryan liked him...kind of :) It took him a few days to warm up to Miles, but Bryan has been a great big brother from the moment we came home.

B's Birthday and Alderbrook Park

We had a pretty amazing October (yes, I know it's now 2012 and I'm just now getting to very important stuff from 2011).

Bryan turned 3 and since he's in love with heroes we had to have an Avengers party for him. The cousins all had a blast even though it was freezing! Thank you, Beth, for being the picture lady :)

The Birthday Boy

Throwing Thor's Hammer

Pin the Star on Captain America's Shield

Then we went to Alderbrook Park for their Harvest festival with the Kamahakus. We had a blast!

Highlights

After much pushing from a certain co-worker, I'm updating my blog! Sorry - it's a long one. Prepare for a ton of pictures...

We were lucky enough to get to the beach a few times this summer and the last rip was perfect! Sunny, warm, a bit crowded, but awesome! Bryan loves to jump over the waves, run away from them, pretend they're bad guys and hit them, you know, whatever. As long as he's in the water he's great!

We had a blast when Joel came to visit and we all went to Moulton Falls for the day. We were lucky enough to get our old stomping ground and had just enough rocky beach to play on and our own stretch of the river to soak in. Bryan still asks if we can go to the waterfall to throw rocks and swim.

Had to put in the pic of Joel peeing across the river...

Because of some awesome friends of the family, we were able to hit the Clark County fair for cheap (free!!)... other than the 3 hot dogs that Bryan ate throughout the afternoon and all the food I ate (which I won't list it here - there's not enough room!).

Our next adventure was potty training. Sorry - no pics, but Bryan did great! The week after that, we went camping at Camp Dakota where we got dirty, panned for gold, and had a blast with family. Sadly, our camera died shortly after arriving, so please excuse the blurry pics...

All in all, it's been a great summer! It took awhile for the summer weather to arrive, but I don't think we wasted a minute of it! We're so blessed to be near so much family and all of Bryan's cousins. I can't wait for this fall and all the upcoming adventures!

Fun Weekend

We were completely spoiled this last weekend. Mostly because Matt's B-day was on Saturday!

We started the weekend early when Matt and I went to see Les Miserable. It was the 25th anniversary of the show and it was wonderful! Thanks to Janice, we were able to get group tickets, so we saw some family and some family friends that night. It was Matt's first musical, and he said he enjoyed it (although he may not admit that to his guy friends...).

This is a pic of the dress I made for the occasion (yes it was crazy to try and make a dress with no pattern, but there are exactly zero nice, modest, maternity dresses outside of the state of Utah). Please don't look too close - I wasn't ready for the pic to be taken... and I look enormous.

I took Friday off and spent the day with Beth and her boys. We had a blast! Even when B got stung by a bee and we thought that he had just been shocked by the playground. He didn't really cry that much! Such a trooper (thanks to Tommy and Michael, he's a little tougher these days).

That night, we went to dinner and a movie with Matt's parents to celebrate Matt's b-day. We saw Capt America. It was pretty fun and there was a full preview for the Avengers at the end. Not sure if it was "clap at the credits" good, like the grown woman in front of us thought it was, but I could be wrong...

Now, Saturday morning, I went golfing for the first time with Matt, his brother Jason and his Dad. It was my first time golfing. I have been to driving ranges and have always been the joke for anyone around since I average about 1 ball hit for every 6 swings I take. Thanks to Matt's grandma, however, I now have a set of clubs that were made for one of my stature and I was able to bring that average up a bit...maybe not on the first hole, but definitely on the others.

Golfing was a lot more fun than I thought I would be. And, in that company, I didn't feel too bad for not being very good. Especially since one of our team members had a swing similar to this:

Later that day we went to Ethan's baptism. That was awesome! So proud of that guy! The baptism itself was wonderful and then we went to a nearby park for a picnic dinner. Perfect evening! I hope Ethan knows how proud we all are of him and how much we love him!

I wish I hadn't forgotten the camera!!!
